I'm back!!!!!!

Just a quick update since my last post.
My family and I went down to Sydney for our cousins Quinceanera which was so beautiful.
When we got back home the preparations for my daughter's Quinceanera begun. My cousins party inspired me and motivated me to start organising everything we need. We have almost everything, a lot of which came from overseas, including the dress. Anyway, I have been so busy with these preparations, I'm even making the invitations which is my reason for not having any time to play with my stamps until two days ago.
I made this card for my friend. I felt a little rusty with my copic colouring but was excited to try out the new blending paper I bought from Make it Crafty a few months ago. I really love it.
I've used 'Tilda blowing kisses' stamp and Kaisercraft paper (Lovestruck collection).

It's challenge time!

Hello to everyone who has decided to visit my blog.
It is so cold here in sunny Queensland...Brrrrr. Apparently it's the coldest June day since 1916 in Brisbane today. I'm heading down to Sydney tomorrow for my cousins 15th birthday (Quinceañera in Spanish). It's a beautiful celebration of that transition from childhood to womanhood in our culture. My daughter Brianna will be celebrating her Quinceañera next January and we can't wait :)
Anyway, I was so excited to find out the first challenge for The Official Magnolia Inspiration Challenge is make a birthday project because I made a birthday card for my cousin's 15th birthday. It is my first attempt at a step card. I coloured Lady Tilda with copic markers and then applied glitter to her dress and head band.
The paper I used was Kaisercraft.

I also want to enter this card in the following challenges:

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all those special women in the world.
I love this quote:The moment a child is born, the mother is also born.
She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.

Well guess what???

I finally made a card after so many months. I'm still working on my colouring technique but had so much fun making this mother's day card for my special mum. I also need to work on my stitching. lol

As much as I would love to make more of these cards I feel I need TIME. I'm entering this card in
Just Magnolia and hAnglar Challenge  -  Anything goes with the option of stitching
Stamping Sisters in Christ - all things beautiful - ends 14th May

Hi!

I cannot believe how time flies!
I have been looking at many wonderful blogs and tutorials on copic colouring techniques, entering a few candy giveaways and practising my colouring with copics...but I still haven't made anything :(  I feel frustrated because I don't have all the colours to complete colouring a stamped image. I'm slowing adding to my collection of copic markers and Magnolia stamps. I recently purchased 2 digital stamps from Make it Crafty and received my first order from Magnolia (spring collection 2011) about 2 weeks ago. I am inspired every day by such creative people who keep posting all these beautiful cards constantly.
I just visited Angelwood's Crafting Corner...you might want to check it out if you haven't already because she has 2 talented kids and amazing candy to give away (check out my sidebar).
I will make time to finish a card and hopefull post it soon.
Thanks for dropping by...

Be blessed,

Adriana

Happy New Year Everyone!!!!!!

I know the month is almost over (lol) but I wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year!
I haven't been on because it was frustrating me that I couldn't add other peoples candy to my blog.
But thanks to Lydia who helped me now I want to start using my blog more. I haven't even made any new cards because I've been so busy preparing for a children's conference, reorganising rooms in my house and getting ready for my youngest son to go back to school. But I definitely want to start making cards, especially after watching Zoe from Make it Crafty. Her colouring techniques have inspired me even more.
I just wish I had more time to view all these incredible blogs out there.
